Emmys 2014: Pre-Show Prep and Live-Blog - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hullo! I'g here at the Emmys in Los Angeles, trying to take equally many pics as I can (because, seriously, when am I ever gonna do this again?). If I tin can get away with it without getting my butt kicked out, I'll update this mail service (and Instagram) during and subsequently the telecast, and then refresh this page every in one case in a while. I'll put the newest stuff at the top.

Back from the Emmys and the Governor's Ball and enjoying the all-time part after a fun and exciting evening — kicking off the shoes and peeling off the lashes. 🙂

Update: the pre-show getting ready stuff
So! I had absolutely no idea what to do with my hair, but I always feel more comfy when it's downward (information technology's kind of like my security blanket), and then when I sat down with hairstylist and makeup artist Jessica Johnston, I told her I was basically upwards for whatever, and she could but do her thang. As long equally nosotros could leave it down, so I was down for whatever.
Jessica and I ended upward going for big pilus. She did curls, half up, half down, with criss-crossed pins in the back. The curls expect a little tight right now, but they should loosen up over time.
While I was in Jessica'due south chair I asked her what her all-time favorite, can't-live-without-it pilus styling production is, and she said "Bed Caput After Political party," which she said she loves for how shiny it makes hair and how well it tames flyaways (note to self: call back that).
A Jason Voorhees moment…
Oh, gosh. Is it Fri the 13th already? These Jason Voorhees-stle SKII masks are hella pricey, but they're preternaturally skillful.
Afterward I do one, I swear my skin looks plumper and, I dunno, hydrated. Expert stuff.
This one is from a three-piece Pitera Essential Set available at present at Neiman Marcus. If you have a large outcome to go to, like a black-tie party or wedding ceremony, I think they're pretty smashing.
